5. My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.6. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.7. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.8. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. Psalm 62:5-8 The psalmist, instructs his soul, the eternal part of him, to wait, for the salvation of God, it can come from no where but Christ. Christ the Rock, the Foundation, of all that is created, seen and unseen, is the Salvation of God. Christ is the narrow road we follow. Christ alone the Author of our Salvation. In Him we are safe and secure for all eternity. Trust Christ with everything, trust His word, His promises, He came, and dwelt among us, where have you ever heard of a god doing such. His blood has paid our pardon, His unmerited favor He has given. His deliverance and salvation is for ever. Christ can be trusted in adversity, for He shall never forsake us. If we were not in danger, we would not need a Saviour, nor would we need a place of refuge. Amen.
