13. Neverthe-less we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.14. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.15. And account that the long- suffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;16. As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.17. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.18. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.2 Peter 3:13-18 We who are Christ's, looking forward to His promise, of a new heaven and earth, revealed to John in Revelation. Where we shall receive, resurrection from death, eternal life, an in corruptible inheritance, ultimate glory and happiness. And we shall dwell in the Righteousness of Christ, imputed to us, by Christ's obedience. No unrighteous person shall enter the new heaven or earth. And we have no Righteousness before God of our own, it is Christ's that covers us. Righteousness meaning, rightstanding before God. Therefore we must remain diligent, in this world, peacemakers, as children of God. Because of the longsuffering of the Lord towards the elect, whom He waits patiently for, delaying His coming, for their conversion. And Peter speaks of the wisdom of Paul, not earthly, but given by God, of Christ's return being a secure promise, which we should look for with assurance. These things not easily understood, nor taught in school, but taught by the Spirit of God, by His Word, for our benefit, that many unlearned of God, argue or pervert the Scriptures, to the ruin of themselves and others. Now the Word of God is how all things shall be measured, it is truth that shall stand for all time, and the hard things, cannot be learned, except we go to the Author in prayer, and He shall not hide the truth from anyone. For it is God's good pleasure to reveal Himself to all who seek Him in truth. That who Christ is, may be made known to all, nothing in this life is more valuable. Amen
