3. But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.4. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.5. They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not: 6. They have ears, but they hear not: noses how they, but they smell not:7. They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.8. They that make them are like unto them, so is everyone that trust us in them. Psalm 115:3-8 God who created all, possessor of all He has created, is Sovereign, and above every created thing. But men, disowned God, and as fools created their own gods, who having no power, and made from the elements that the living God created, and copied the form of things already created by the living God. The verse show they are no god. They are not in the heavens, they must stay where they are, till a man moves them. They speak not to their people like the living God, nor do the see, or hear. They cannot save any one, nor can they do any harm. They cannot smell the incense placed before them. As foolish as it is to make a useless god, so is trusting it, for it is powerless. And anything put in a place before the Almighty Living God, is an idol, and is an abomination to Christ, who as God, became a man, and walked on this earth as you do, but was, sinless, perfect, holy, and died in our place, that we might escape the destruction we so rightly deserve. Amen.
