With Election day looming, I wanted to share my thoughts. I want to start by saying I have always considered myself an Independent Voter. My vote has always gone to the candidate that I though would do the best job, even though I have been admittedly wrong on occasion. The Libertarian party appeals to my on many fronts, they have just never been able to pull enough votes to be relevant. I was raised by Baby Boomer parents who strictly voted Democrat when I was growing up, and still do. On the surface, and on paper, my parents have their shit completely together. My parents are older now, so voting Democrat could just be a habit at this point. My current opinion is "If you buy the horse, you buy the hoof", so when you vote for a candidate, you are voting for all their party stands for. The Democrats do not seem to have an upside at all anymore. So my question for you is, why are people willing to defy logic and common sense to still vote blue? It make no sense to me...
