1. Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to do every good work,2. To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.3. For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.4. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,5. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;6. Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour. Titus 3:1-6 ππ» Paul's letter to Titus, a Gentile servant of the Lord, faithful to Christ, and to Paul. Can you imagine the world if they obeyed the first 2 verses in this chapter. And we being lost, needing instructions just like them, some us worst than others, but praise to our Savior, we are all forgiven. Being saved by grace, mercy, and the love of Christ. Not by any work we can do, but covered in Christ's Righteousness, giving the gift of the Holy Ghost, that only the redeemed may receive. This word shed, in Greek is defined, pour out, spill, run out, to bestow or distribute largely. We can have the Holy Ghost abundantly, when we push the world out of us, we make room for the Holy Ghost, without Him, it is impossible to live a holy life, He is our helper and guide. Amen.
