12. And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;13. Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.14. And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.15. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of who I am chief. 1 Timothy 1:12-15ππ» Paul saved by Christ, and made an Apostle of Christ, giving an account of the mercy of God. Being a former pharisee, who persecuted the church, blasphemed the name of Christ, and compelled others to do the same. Calling Christ an impostor. Being an eyewitness of Christ appearing to him, and giving him all things necessary to preach the Gospel with authority and power. Paul's honesty about his past, and the truth of the new life in him, is evident, when he calls himself chief of sinners. Filled with abundant faith and love in Christ. Paul speaks by experience, that Christ came into this world to save sinners. And I am one also. Needing Christ's love and saving grace. Amen.
