11. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.13. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14. Stand therefore, having your loin girt about with truth, having on the breastplate of righteousness;15. And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;16. Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.17. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6: 11-17 🙏🏻 Paul uses the Roman armor as a picture of what the Lord has supplied for our perseverance in our walk with Him. If you are not in a battle against evil, there is no victory, and no reward. The armor is for those who will stand against evil, as Christ did for us on the Cross. And in that battle there is no retreat, we must stand our ground. The Roman armor only covered the front, if you turned you made yourself vulnerable. All this armor is defensive, except the Sword of the Spirit the Word of God, Christ used it against Satan when He was tempted in the desert 40 days. Surround yourself with God's truth in Christ. Covered in Christ's Righteousness, walking in the Gospel, where by we have peace with God. Faith is trust in God, and not what we see, wickedness cannot penetrate the truth. The helmet of Salvation, the battle is for your mind, what you think is what you shall become, and Satan uses the learning gates, the eyes, and ears, to promote sin, in this world, you all know what it is like to be under that oppression. Christ has made you free, but Satan does not let go easily. Keep your heart filled with God's word, and your armor shiny. Amen.
