6. For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, least any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.7. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.8. For this thing I sought the Lord thrice that it might depart from me.9. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12: 6-9 ππ» Paul caught up to the third heaven, and shown, and heard things never before, being offered to men. Unspeakable, not to be retold, for it was revealed to him only. And because of these revelations, Paul could have received honor. But to keep him from from being elated in his mind with pride, a messenger from Satan afflicted him. Now this attack sent Paul to the throne of grace, 3 times, asking for it's removal, and the Lord answered him, My grace is sufficient. Christ's strength, support, supply, is perfect, and is stronger than our weakness. Paul saw that Satan could not take away God's goodness, no matter what Satan did to him. Now Paul could take pleasure in his infirmities, because where he was weak Christ is strong. We will all have tribulation in the life. But those who suffer for doing the Lord's work, shall be rewarded. Amen.
