35. I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.36. Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.37. Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.38. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.39. But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.40. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: and he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.Psalm 37:35-40 The psalmist was familiar with wickedness in high places. Who are rooted in wickedness and prosper. And he also saw their passing, and their wickedness went with them, and could not be found by men. Mark the man who has put his trust in Christ, he is not without sin, be his trust is in the Rock, the foundation of his faith. It is in the Righteousness of Christ, that he has hope of redemption, his pardon, completed by Christ, justified by Christ. His spirit renewed by Christ. Yes take notice of a man like this, though chaos be all around him, he shall have peace. This is the grace of our Lord. Transgressors have not this peace, they have refused all help. They shall be cut off. The salvation of the righteous is of the Lord Christ, it can be found no where else. They shall be helped by the Lord, delivered by the Lord, redeemed by the Lord, because they have put all their trust in Him. Amen.
