1. I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.2. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.3. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved for my enemies.4. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.5. The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.6. In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. Psalm 18:1-6 The psalmist loves the Lord, with all his strength, we must do likewise. His relationship with the Lord, truly he knows Christ, for the Lord is his foundation, he is delivered from destruction, his God is his strength, not putting trust in himself or men. His trust is in God above who sees everything, God is his salvation, and buckler, a buckler is a hand held shield, used in close combat. We fail many times, for we forget the enemy has been defeated, Christ fought and won. We are on the winners side, death, hell, all the ungodly, Satan, have been put down, they shall never rise to victory. Because we have called out to the Lord, in our time of weakness, and He has heard our voice, it came to His ears, and He came to our aid. There is no idol, that can move, see, hear, touch, speak, Create, heal. This is why our Christ is Superior, and above all, created things. Amen.
