1. Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?2. He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.3. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.4. In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.5. He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved. Psalm 15:1-5 The psalmist puts this question to the Lord, in view of the sad corruption, and degeneration of man. Which renders all unfit for the presence of God. The holy hill, a picture of the church, being movable like a tent, but like a hill, immovable, it cannot be removed from the earth. Christ's sacrifice, and death, restored our relationship with the Father. Yet we have duties to preform. We must walk uprightly, be not chargeable to any crime. Working in righteousness, not our own, but covered in Christ's, where there is security. Speaking truth, in the Gospel message, and scriptures, not imposing lies. Not speaking against any person, for we are all created by the same God. We are not to tolerate a vile person, a vile person is a wicked abomination to God. We are to honor those that have reverence for God, as members of Christ's church. We are to keep our word, even if we suffer loss. We are to help those less fortunate, and not to defraud the innocent. All who strive to do these things, have put Christ first, and though they stumble, they shall never be removed from Christ's body. Amen.
