18. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.19. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the under-standing of the prudent.20. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21. For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it please God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 1 Corinthians 1:18-21 🙏🏻 The preaching of the cross, the cross of Christ, the doctrine of salvation by a crucified Christ, the doctrine of peace and reconciliation to God through the blood of Christ, through His sacrifice, pardon, reconciliation, atonement, is foolishness to the carnal mind, and cannot be understood. All men born into destruction because of sin, are lost. There is no wisdom, no power, no riches, on earth, that can reverse this. It is the wisdom of Christ, who created everything in the universe, who understood how to redeem what was lost through sin, and He came having no sin, but died in our place, that we may be with Him. This is only for the wise, for fools go quickly to destruction, but the wise, will seek Christ, and they shall find Him. Amen.
