It might work. I haven't tried it yet. But Dawn wiped out a ground bee nest when I poured some in the hole.

So what chemicals in Dawn are that deadly? Good thing I don’t use it for dishes and put my hands in its water. If the soap just smothers, well, that’s better than a chemical insecticide.
