35. I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
36. Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
37. Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
38. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
39. But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in time of trouble.
Psalm 37:
35-39 πŸ™πŸ»
The psalmist speaks of wicked men, who have authority, and have gained wealth, and position, and do their wicked deeds in the open, without fear of reprisal.
Yet they passed away, their soul being required, they ceased from this world, and went to the place prepared for the wicked.
Mark the perfect man, this word in Hebrew, is defined, as, one who is complete, innocent, having integrity, morally and ethically pure, there is only one, and He is Christ. Those covered by Him, shall have eternal peace, but the wicked, and those who continue to transgress, shall be destroyed.
Both temporal, spiritual, and eternal salvation, have been secured by Christ, His grace is to ever lasting, to all who submit to His authority as King, to His Holiness as Priest, to His being the Son of God. Amen.
