18. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.19. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.20. He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.21. Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.22. The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.. Psalm 34: 18-22 ππ» The Lord is close in a special way to all who come to Him, with a penitent heart, seeking pardon, and Christ's atonement for sin. Verse 19, speaks of Christ, for it is in the singular tense, and there was only one righteous man. Christ's afflictions, through His life, from devils, and men, even at His death, were many, yet, the Almighty, brought Him up, and sat Him at His right hand. And gave Him a name above every created thing. Like the passover Lamb, not one of His bones were broken. Evil seeks it's own reward, refusing all of God's goodness. The Lord Christ, has completed His assignment, He has made redemption sure. None who truthfully put their trust in Christ, will be desolate, this word is defined as, incriminated, held guilty, awaiting punishment, to perish. Christ everlasting Saviour, King, and Priest, of the most High God. To Him be Praise for ever. Amen.
