22. Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.23. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. 24. God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;25. Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; Acts 17:22-25 Paul uses this opportunity to declare Christ to the people at Athens. Who having more alters and temples than others, erected an alter to a god they did not know so as not to offend a visitor to their city. Christ cannot be worshipped in nature, or in natural things, seeing He is the Creator. You cannot worship the creation above the Creator. Yet in all creation if looked for, you can perceive that it took wisdom, and understanding, to design all things. If you cannot believe that Christ is the Creator of all, if you ascribe to mother nature, this task, your hope is in vain, for who but Christ, won victory over your sins with His blood, and guaranteed eternal life, by rising from His tomb. Remember this, in nature all things die. And what ever died in nature, and came back to life, never to die again. Amen.
