21. And afterward they desired a king: and God gave them unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.22. And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my own heart, which shall fulfill all my will.23. Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: Acts 13:21-23 Today in the United States of America, we celebrate independence day. And there are other countries in the world who have won their freedom. Christ won our freedom from Satan, eternal death, and sin. He has been elevated to King of all kings, by His Father. And His kingdom shall have no end. All the rulers of this world, at the end, shall bow before Christ, and so shall we. If Christ is not your King, He cannot be your God, and if not your God, then not your Saviour. Christ fulfilled what we were unable to. And as such is worthy of all praise. Amen.
