2. And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.3. As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.4. Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word. Acts 8:2-4 🙏🏻 The followers of Christ, bury Stephen, who was stoned by the Jewish leaders. And Saul, held the coats of those who participated. This is the power of Christ, and the Gospel message. This same Saul, is confronted by the risen Christ, and is converted, his name is changed to Paul, and he penned almost a third of the New Testament. All who have tried to stamp out Christ and His teachings, have met with failure. When you see the word "therefore" when your reading, it explains what it's there for. So Saul tried to end the preaching of Christ, but the believers, went through out the known world, every where preaching Christ, as we do today. Amen.
