There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
Proverb 30:1πŸ™πŸ»
This is a verse from Proverb 30, the words of Agur, meaning the compiler, or collector, son of Jakeh, meaning, obedient, a symbolic name for Solomon.
In his day, and in the time of Jesus, and now in our day, there are whole generations of people who are righteous, or pure in their own eyes, but not in the eyes of God. God who sees all, and knows all, sees that they are polluted, and have not turned to the Light.
They do not regard the spiritual law of God, nor seek Christ the Savior, they have no thought of repentance, which is a change of mind about sinning.
There is no man pure in his nature, all are polluted by the universal sin, and the sins of their own doing.
Nothing will be accepted by God, but the blood of Christ, for the pardon of sin.
Only the redeemed, have the righteousness of Christ, imputed to them, being made pure from sin, by Christ's blood, there is no other way, only a vain imagination would seek elsewhere for entry into heaven. Amen.
