Warning: I'm seeing a lot of people on social media using the New Profile Pic app to make these sketched-looking cartoon images. Lots of disinformation is going around about how the app is owned by a Russian company that shelters in the British Virgin Islands and that the app could potentially be stealing your data for possible malware attacks. I don't know what is true or false, but just a little bit of research shows that the Russian connection is partially true. Either way, this seems super sketchy (no pun intended) and I personally don't recommend using any of these kinds of apps out of privacy concerns.
