1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.2. The same was in the beginning with God.3. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:1-5 🙏🏻 How revealing these five verses at the start of John's gospel. Christ the Word of God, not the written word, but the Living Word. Declaring that Christ is God, and is with God, from the beginning. Nothing was made that was not made by Christ. In Christ is life, here, and eternal life in the world to come. Christ came as Light to the world, to show sin, and the destruction it brings. But this is foolishness to those who refuse to turn from their sins, and refuse to be redeemed. This is Christ, who made all things, even you, who left heaven, put on the flesh, as those He created, lived a sinless life, and became the perfect and only sacrifice for sin, of all He created. Where can you find this kind of love? Christ will never force you to follow Him, yet the invitation is to all. Amen.
