5. Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?6. They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of the riches;7. None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:8. ( For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever: )9. That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.Psalm 49:5-9ππ» The psalmist penned this Psalm in 539 b.c., plainly it states, that redeeming a soul, is the work of God, through Christ. The years of evil, is old age, when sickness, health problems, are upon us, and our thoughts are on our iniquities, those sins, we did willingly during our time on earth. And the loving relative, with all the wealth the earth possesses, cannot save a loved one from judgment. Seeing only the blood of Christ, is the acceptable payment for sin, making it very precious. If Christ is refused, then the redemptive process has ceased, by choice. For there is no person born into sin, that shall inherit eternal life, without Christ's redemption. Amen, Amen.
