Don't Buy a Car Now

This is a horrible time to buy any car.

Since new car prices are so high with inflation, chip shortage, supply chain delays, etc. people have reverted to buying a used car.

Now, the used cars are being priced at their previous MSRP.

As an example, a 2019 Toyota Rav4 is priced at $32,000 where its original MSRP in 2019 was around $30,000.

The car is really worth, in normal economic times, $20-23,000.

New car MSRPs are way high and dealers are adding "market adjustments' of $4-5000 or adding dealer-added packages. As an example I saw a Honda CRV with a $4200 "appearance package" that was really worth less than $1000. The dealers add these packages before they release it to the customer. You have to take it.

Not me, though!

Additionallly, there are no new cars on the lots for sale. You have to reserve it before it arrives and take it like it is shipped plus the dealer add-ons. What a public rip off.
