20. And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
21. Blessed are ye, that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
22. Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name is evil, for the Son of man's sake.
23. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did they their fathers unto the prophets.
Luke 6:20-23πŸ™πŸ»
There was a great multitude that Christ healed and cast out unclean spirits.
But only to His disciples did He reveal these blessings. Showing the separation between the population and the followers of Christ.
Blessed are they that leave the things of the world to follow Christ, for Christ will give them access to God's Kingdom.
Blessed are all who hunger and thirst after righteousness, and eternal life, in Christ, they shall be filled.
Blessed are all who weep and mourn over their sinful condition, for Christ will fill them with spiritual joy.
Blessed are all who are hated because of Christ and the Gospel. For their sins are forgiven, and their reward is great in heaven.
But those who have refused Christ are as those that killed His messengers, and their reward is eternal death.
Lord, we give thanks this day for your Salvation. Amen
