1. Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.2. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.3. If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?4. But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.Psalm 130:1-4 ππ» Before we begin to know God, we first cry out to Him in the depths of our despair, because of our sin. And the Lord hears the prayer of repentance and will answer. It is because of Christ, that our iniquities, transgressions, and sins, are cast behind God's back out of His sight, for without Christ, the righteousness, and repentance, and tears of men will not atone for their errors. Without Christ, no person could stand in God's presence, because of sin. Yet the psalmist reminds us that forgiveness is of God alone, through Christ the Son, and our pardon was paid in the blood of Christ. Therefore He is worthy of our reverence, and praise. Amen.
