18. For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.19. But my enemies are lively, and they are they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.20. They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.21. Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.22. Make haste to help me, O LORD my salvation.Psalm 38:18-22ππ» The psalmist, shows how to get right before God. First confessing the sin to God, who alone can pardon, and is faithful through Christ, having no remembrance of it ever. Repentance produces a carefulness, to abstain from all evil, seeing at what great cost the pardon was obtained. To the believer the world has become his enemy, it prospers grows strong, yet in the end, all that are evolved with it are on a slippery road, that leads to destruction. The Lord will not forsake His own, and great confidence can be put into Jesus, who took our punishment, for we can look toward no other for our salvation, than Christ the Lord. Amen.
