15. Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.
16. But we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
2 Peter 1:15-18 πŸ™πŸ»
Peter makes it very clear, that what he wants to leave with believers after he has passed, is that his and the other letters written of Christ, are not fables, or tales, but truth, being eyewitness accounts, of what Christ said, and did.
The greatest thing told, is Christ's return.
They witnessed Christ being glorified by the Father, in telling Him, He was well pleased in all He had done.
We are fortunate that we may at any time pick up a Bible and learn for ourselves, who Christ is, why He came, and what He wants us to do.
The Bible is the best selling book of all time, over 5 billion copies have been printed since 1815, it has been translated into 349 languages.
If your not reading it, you have no idea what you are missing, it takes discipline, to keep reading, until God reveals to you, what He wants you to know. Amen.
