17. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.18. Of his own will begot he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.19. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:20. For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.21. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.22. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James 1:17-22 🙏🏻 Every good, and perfect gift comes from God. The gift of Christ is most certainly the best. We find Christ in the Gospel message, where we are assured of the promise of eternal life, being saved from our sins. Be quick to receive the word of God, slow to speak against it, and be at peace, as the word of God, shall anger, and divide many. And be doing what is learned in the word, this is a sure invitation to be reading the Bible, that you may have instructions on how to live. For to hear the word, and not act in accordance to its direction, is to be driven, or guided off the narrow path, and begin the journey down the broad path of destruction. Amen
