32. And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae, of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:33. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection. Hebrews 11:32-35 The author, gave a full definition of faith, in verses previously written. But would now give account of a few, who lived by this faith. There were many more, the author, not having time, to name them all. These lived by faith, in the promise of the Messiah Jesus Christ our Lord, it not being fulfilled in their eyes. And we being under the shadow of the Cross, how much more, should we live in this faith, seeing Christ has redeemed us, before we were even born. We are duty bound to live each day, for the Shepherd of our soul, the Great Physician, the Rock, on which we fall, broken in sin. That we may obtain the resurrection to eternal life, that Christ, purchased, with His life. Amen, come quickly Lord Jesus !
