9. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.10. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.11. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.12. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.13. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but that all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.14. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, 9-14that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.Hebrews 4:9-14🙏🏻 There is a rest for the people of God, it is exclusive to all who follow Jesus. This is the rest, of the Gospel message, brought by Christ, we enter into it by degrees. We have work to do here in the name of Christ, it is not to earn a reward, for eternal life cannot be bought, or earned, it is a gift from God. Faith in Christ, provides its own reward. And the word of God, is where you shall find Him, if you say you love Christ, but neglect the words of life, you fall short of the mark. God's word, was never meant to be concealed, but revealed, and by reading, He shall reveal to you, what was instituted before the foundation of the universe. Hold fast to Christ, our High Priest, He does not have to go yearly, to make a sacrifice for sin, at the Cross, He paid for sin, all sin, for all of time. Being the perfect sacrifice, He only needed to do it once. Now if we believe, then out of love, we need to be doing His work, and following in His steps. Amen.
