A friend on Facebook from California posted this."I keep hearing on the media we need to get truckers back to work to get the containers moving from the ports. I don’t know about the rest of the country but for California that’s not true. The real reason your not hearing is California passed a law about trucks that haul containers from the ports have to be no older than 3 years and older trucks have to meet unreasonable emissions standards. Bottom line 50% of trucks do not reach these standards and that’s why container ships are waiting for months to be unloaded. If the ports were open 24 hours a day it won’t solve the problem. The ONLY way to solve the problem is for Newsom to resend the law. Amazon is the only smart company that saw this coming and rerouted everything to Texas years ago. You will never hear this from the media."
