excavatorblog Only in a society which has lost its moral⁣ compass is it acceptable to uphold an obviously power hungry, mentally unwell teenager as a sort of demented messiah. ⁣⁣Greta Thunberg, the daughter of two activist celebrities and pet project of the corrupt intellectual class, has returned to the scene with another spiteful and self righteously accusatory sermon. This time addressed to an Orwellian crowd of masked “clapping seals”.⁣⁣The absurdity of this detestable individual extends far beyond any questions of the worthiness of the environmental cause, due to the grotesque nature of her personality, combined with the ethics which would suggest that an 18 year old ought to be prescribing large scale adjustments to complex social, and economic systems.⁣⁣As many have pointed out, the danger in the way in which the environmental cause is often framed lies in how it seems to slant towards a desire to attribute the sins of society upon anyone who does not adhere to its narrative. ⁣⁣Like most post modern, social justice ideologies, it conveniently creates opportunities for followers of the movement to demonize anyone who not only disagrees with them, but whoever can be framed as an adversary, simply due to their perceived silence on a given issue.⁣⁣Along side this, these movements also seem to come pre packaged with an ability to constantly widen the criteria for what constitutes as a “sin” in their eyes, making them the perfect parasite for whichever culture allows them as their host.⁣⁣This combined with the sort of divinity attributed to a young, autistic girl, and the fact that doing so requires that we displace the normal criteria used to value one’s character and expertise, demonstrates the tendency of these movements to become like “new religions”.⁣⁣We now see the results before our eyes in the Greta phenomenon. A culture which has become ideologically possessed to the point where it will dispense with all forms of character judgement and discernment in favour of being emotionally sucked in to applauding a character who, through mannerisms, rhetoric and tone seems to be nothing more than a little ball of contempt and narcissism.⁣ A little Hitler
