23. For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24. And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
1 Corinthians
11: 23-26 πŸ™πŸ»
Paul shared the use of the Lord's supper, given by the authority of Christ the Lord.
Given to Paul, by revelation from Christ, when Christ, made him a minister of the Gospel. And Paul, faithfully shared this with the churches.
Now this is Christ's words, and I know of no person on earth, that has the authority to alter, or change, or leave out, any, commands, of our Lord.
If He says, take this and eat, this is His body, given for us. Should we not be obedient.
How much more the cup, representing the blood of Christ, which is the price paid for sin, for the Word, says, without the shedding of blood, there is no remission.
Therefore you cannot take one, and leave off the other, for these, are commanded, by Christ, for us to remember, what a high price, was paid, for our salvation. Amen.
