It’s no wonder the Liberals didn’t lift a finger to bring the Afghan interpreters, and other support staff to Canada until they were shamed into it.Trudeau thinks of the Taliban as “brothers “.He flirted with the idea of negotiating with the terrorist organization, and remains open to “normalizing” relations with them.Burying women shoulder height and having them stoned for some perceived slight by their husbands is a common Taliban practice.Throwing acid into the faces of girls who attend school, raping young boys and marrying child brides are normal for the Taliban.Instead of Saturday night hockey in arenas, the Taliban conduct mass executions in the sports stadiums.Acceptance of such behaviours appears to be the novel Liberal approach to diplomacy.It is certainly not Canadian,is not Canadian,is not Canadian.Retired Generals David Fraser, Denis Thompson, and Dean Milner among many more veterans, have been tirelessly trying to rescue Afghans, whose lives are at risk for having worked alongside Canadians during our mission there.Perhaps the mission has been left to them because the Liberal Prime Minister has decapitated our military leadership.They destroyed the Vice Chief of Defence Staff trying to scuttle a Conservative Government project.The Vice Admiral should have been the one to step into the breach when the Chief of Defence Staff stood accused of sexual misconduct.Then they had the new Chief of Defence staff step aside.They made the new Vice Chief of Defence Staff walked the plank.The General in charge of the national vaccine distribution was axed without even being told of the allegations against him.Is it really any wonder the Liberals couldn’t muster the 3,000 troops requested by the international community for the Afghan evacuation operation?They couldn’t even find enough commanders to lead the troops.Trudeau has failed the Canadian Armed Forces, and now he is failing the people we have a responsibility to shield from execution.All those faces pleading to be saved are now marked for death.All because Trudeau wanted another four years of power.Let’s show him the door instead.Sincerely,Cheryl Gallant
