11. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.12. The night is far spent, the day is it hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.13. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.14. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lust thereof.Romans 13:11-14 Paul, many hundreds of years ago, felt this world coming to an end. How much closer are we? We are nearer our heavenly home, as each day passes. The night is a picture of a covering for evil, seeing it tends to hide, what is done. The day, where light is, no darkness, can be, we need to walk in the Light of Christ. As we walk in the Light, we cast off our former deeds, done in the night. And we put on Christ's Righteousness, as a garment, covered, protected, redeemed, bought, that we should move forward, and not return, to the ways of destruction. Amen.
