25. For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
26. And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
27. Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
Job 19:25-27 πŸ™πŸ»
This book of Job was written around 600 years before Christ was born.
Yet Job has knowledge of his Redeemer, an awareness of the resurrection of his body after death, and a confidence of seeing God, with his own eyes, and not any other, but the One true God.
This is one of 4 books of wisdom in the Bible, and it takes the Spirit of God, to reveal its meaning, Job, and Jesus Christ, suffered both at the hands of Satan.
Job, was restored, and was rewarded for his faithfulness, Christ, was murdered, seeming to give Satan victory.
But the Victory, is in Christ, for ever.
How much more should we put our trust in Him, seeing we have His Words of Life, in His Gospel message. Amen.
