16. John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoe I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:17. Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.18. And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people. Luke 3:16-18 ?? John the Baptist, spoke to the people who would listen, that he baptized, all who came repenting of sin. But there was someone else coming, Jesus, the Savior of the world, His task, was to remove sins punishment, no one ever born, was able to complete this work. Jesus, and His Gospel message, separate, the population, the wheat and chaff, are united at harvest, but before the wheat is stored in the barn, the chaff is removed and burned. So shall it be at the end of days, Christ, removes His followers to the place He prepared for them, the ungodly, are moved to destruction. John preached the coming of Christ, we preach, that He was here, and completed the work of our salvation, on the cross, and that He lives in us, we cannot help, but share, this Good News. Amen.
