51. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;52. And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,53. And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.54. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.Matthew 27:51-54 To the foolish, and ungodly, this is but a fairy tale. Yet, those saved, by Christ, it is the very foundation, of our faith. The curtain in the Temple, was sixty feet high, separating, the most Holy Place, from the rest of the Temple, it was of great thickness. The work of God, that no man could do, split the curtain from top, to bottom, removing the separation of God, from men. The earthquake, is an indication of the divine resentment, of the murder of Christ. The rocks split, being harder, than those who refused Christ, yet the hard hearts, would turn, and be broken, and receive salvation. The death of certain saints, precious to Christ, rise from their graves, as Christ rose, as the first man to rise, to eternal life. These saints rose, and talked with family and friends, but again experienced death, when Christ returns, all in Christ shall rise. Christ has an effect on the ungodly, for even those that crucified Him, at His death, reported, "Truly this was the Son of God." Amen.
