15. But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave; for he shall receive me. Selah.16. Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased; 17. For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not to descend after him.18. Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself. 19. He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light.20. Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.Psalm 49:15-20?? The psalmist, here gives assurance, that God, will redeem his soul, and death will have no power, over it. What confidence he speaks, that God, Himself, shall receive him. All men, who have no understanding, that they came into this world with nothing, and they shall leave the same way. The treasure of Heaven, far exceeds, what ever can be gathered up, here in this life, just to leave it behind, forsaking the reward ahead. All who follow this path, ignoring the spiritual part of this life, are like a beast dying, with no thought or care, of their passing, no preparation for the life beyond. Loving destruction more than life eternal, that Christ made possible, at the Cross. Amen.
