1. Unto thee will a cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.2. Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward the holy oracle. 3. Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts. 4. Give them according to the deeds, and according to their wickedness of their endeavors: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.5. Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up. Psalm 28:1-5 ?? A cry to God, denotes an urgent plea. Nothing more urgent, than the saving of one's soul. The cry is aimed at the foundation of our Salvation, Christ the Lord. If He we silent, and answered us not, we would be like all others, going to destruction. But God hears, and as the psalmist, we cry, till we are heard. As we aim our heart, at the mercy seat, where God resides. Though we deserve, the same punishment, as the unrepentant, we have an advocate, who has intervened, on our behalf, and paid our debt. Christ, the Savior. All who refuse, have settled their fate, they will be given the full measure of their deeds. For they cast off the working of God, through Christ, and rejected the Providence of God, taking no notice, of His mercy, and redemption, they are lost, and shall be punished, with everlasting destruction. Amen.
