1. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Psalm 23:1-6??
All we like sheep have gone astray, therefore, we are in need of a Shepherd, to bring us back, unto God's way, and He is Christ.
Those who will follow Him, shall lack no good thing.
A covenant of blessings and promises, are our green pastures.
Still waters, quiet, peaceful, refreshing, is Christ, to those who seek the Living Water, of eternal life.
What sin, has stolen, Christ restores.
It is His right standing, with God, that Christ leads us, to the eternal city of habitation, because God is Holy, and His name is great.
After the first breath, we all live in the shadow of death. But Christ, having defeated sin and death, has removed the fear, because He is ever with us, His rod, ( correction) and His staff, ( guidance), are the tools of a loving Shepherd.
The table of the Lord is set, we have His body, and blood.
We consume these in the presence of the enemy of God's people, and are anointed, with the oil of gladness, seeing we share in Christ, the Salvation of the Living God. Amen.
