Happy Lunar New Year!
A Sunny Day and a Castle of Ice
My daughter and I planned to spend this day with my sister. It was a day that worked for all of us. It was not because it was the Lunar New Year, but it was an added bonus that it was. Because having fun together is all part of any celebration.
The sun was shining brightly. So going for pictures at the ice castle really had a sparkle to them. It was cold, but not as bitter as it had been. It was in the 20's, so that was a pretty nice morning temperature.
But because we were sitting on an ice throne--even with a towel under us--we got pretty chilled. Our next stop for coffee was just perfect.
We were soon warmed up again, sipping coffee and chatting away. Time just flew by. It was great to relax and spend time together.
We did a little shopping before we headed home. It was a good day!
