I realize that I’ll never be the next Shakespear or Robert Frost but I write because I enjoy it. It’s been a while since I wrote anything and thought I would put more thoughts to paper. I was sent an email from another publishing company that does a lot of contests. I tend to send in a poem or two without any expectations to winning the contests, and I don’t win either. I’m ok with that because I don’t write to please those who are grading on how we write. I don’t use fancy words that others have to interpret what the meaning of the poem is. I write for simplicity and put it in terms that I understand, layman’s terms. I was going to write more but this would work for its purpose
