View MoreI bothered to watch the President’s speech last night. They wouldn’t call it a state of the Union speech because you couldn’t expect a person to know the conditions of the country when they had only been in office for 30 days, nor could they talk about things that they have done that soon. Well, DJT proved them wrong on both charges. He has known the exact conditions of the country since he was running in 2016, and he has passed more Presidential Orders in 30 days than anyone else. (Which in my book just proves how worthless our legislators have been—some of this stuff SHOULD HAVE BEEN handled by them under Joe Biden’s term. But of course that means doing more than just showing up and arguing about how bad things are or how racist and xenophobic people are because they don’t want our country overrun by untraceable illegals. But I digress.
I don’t care (at this moment) if you like Trump at all or not. And if I am honest, I didn’t expect a single Democrat to stand at all through the entire speech. But I still think it says something about them when they couldn’t stand to respect DJ, the kid who fought brain cancer (and dare we say won?) and wants to be an officer of the law. It says something when you can’t stand in respect to a fireman who died protecting his family from gunfire at a public event. It says something when you can’t stand to respect a man who had been held hostage in Russia and was freed to come home to his mother or to respect that mother who fought to bring him home. It says something when you can’t stand to respect the family of young people who were brutally killed by people who should never have been here in the first place—one in college and the other at only 12 years old. It says something when you can’t stand to celebrate with the rest of your countrymen that the terrorist responsible for the death of 13 of our nation’s defenders —AS WE WERE OBVIOUSLY LEAVING THEM TO WHATEVER DEMISE THEY HAD CHOSEN TO ACCEPT FOR THEMSELVES— was finally going to be held responsible for those deaths.
It says something about them. They are a bunch of heartless robots who only push for their own advancement, often at the expense of the people of this country. And not a one of them deserve to hold the seats they occupied last night anymore. Honestly, more than a few of them deserve time in prison for treason among other charges. There might be a few who are good people who are just afraid to stand against the party at all, but they don’t represent their constituents if that’s the case, they represent the party collective. Vote them out. Put in people capable of thinking for themselves and about others for a change. And you know what? The Republicans who only stood because they were expected to? They are just as bad. Vote them out too. We need good, thinking people who are interested in helping our nation in office. Not a bunch of robots.
