View MoreOur Real Problem: Political Paganism �In Government We Trust" - In 1913 we passed a Constitutional Amendment � not an easy thing to do � to have Government make us stop abusing alcohol. We got organized crime & nationalized law enforcement instead. But we kept trusting. - In the 1930�s, we looked to Government to save us from our recurring economic panics. We got money whose value is set by political will, & the Great Depression, instead. But we kept trusting. - In the 1960�s, we asked Government to make us stop being racists, & to wage war on poverty for us. Racism was not ended, just politicized, & retargeted. The War on Poverty turned out to be a War on the Family. But we kept on trusting. - In 1973 we quite literally gave Government our future. We looked to it to redefine our inconvenient babies as blobs of tissue, that we could dispose of them without a twinge of conscience. Trust was no longer a question we asked. - In the 1980�s, we believed that Government could make it �Morning in America�, if Conservatives were in charge. Never mind the budget deficits, there were Communists out there who had to be defeated. We never even wondered if there was Communism within. - By 2010, the Government was waging a War on Terror, & our President was assuring us that his election was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow, & our planet began to heal. Paganism, straight up. - Today, we let a career Government bureaucrat with an MD after his name play doctor with us all, while Government uses the panic to run up debts 7 times more than the taxes it collects, as we submissively cover our faces in adoration of our Lord & Savior, Good Government Almighty. We are a Pagan Nation, squatting on a Christian foundation. Our real God is going to break our political paganism. Whether our nation survives the process is in doubt. But when it is over, no ones motto will be �In Government We Trust�. We will fear � or we will be free.
