View MoreHypothetically - What if someone could easily show that the teachings of Jesus included none of the main doctrines of Christianity (follow me for a moment) - nothing about heaven, God, life after death, etc? If that was true, Christianity would be completely disregarded, yet that is exactly what we find with Buddhism - Buddha never taught reincarnation or a state of Nirvana; he claimed that pondering about the cosmos would drive one mad.
