Some Planes crash, some Planes don’t.
In light of our subject, I’ll open this chapter up with a song for a Hero Pilot.
It’s about expecting more from yourself, and being better than the rest.
Remember, this was done in 2009.
I’ll give a tip of the hat to the end of last week’s show, the one with my favorite Buddy Holly song, by playing what was a rare version of it by a Wing, a Beatle and a Wife.
Frankly it's hard to find an Artist or Group in Our Music that has NOT done a Buddy Holly song at some point!

Continuing with a rerun of the second half of a show done 50 Years To The Day after that Infamous Plane Crash on Feb. 3rd 1959, this Chapter is all Buddy Holly.
To me, Buddy ranks closely up there with the Beatles, and there is a real connection between them.
The Beatles chose their name because they wanted something similar to The Crickets- something that was clever and had two meanings.
I'll have Music from both.
But the most remarkable thing in here, and you may never have heard it, is an interview Alan Freed did with Buddy Holly just a few months before the Crash.
There are the two them laughing and joking about all the dangerous Plane Rides they had taken on tour together the year before!
It's very eerie...almost surreal!
Give a listen, it's a nice collection of Rock & Roll and not all Oldies!

I saw that February 3rd would fall on the day of the terrestrial broadcast this year, and I was preparing for it.
Another time that happened for Rockollections was Feb. 3rd 2009- remarkably 50 YEARS TO THE DAY for the anniversary of Rock & Roll's First Tragedy on Feb. 3rd 1959- the Plane Crash That Killed Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and The Big Bopper!
I gave that old show a listen, and hearing all the things I had dug out- CD's, Old Vinyl Records, Old Tapes, and the presentation- I decided I could not really improve on it.
Plus I wouldn't have to go around looking for all those things again, a not so easy task.
So it's the old show you will hear, with a newly recorded Prologue.
And don't panic, there is a long song in here I will not be playing all the way through, just enough to make a statement and meet our needs.
And I promise you will hear things in this Series you have NEVER heard before!

This is IT, the Grand Finale for Circles!
Starting with a Set of Songs that were kind of Loose Ends, and have the Theme in common but little else, other than that I like them.
But man, is it a Mixed bag, lol!
Those who know me know I place a great emphasis on Opening and Closing Songs Of Series or Shows.
For the first time I had not One, not Two, but Three to choose from.
Any ONE of these could have been The Closer!
But I had to choose a Song to give the Final Word to, and I think it was the right one!
I thank all who Took The Bus With Me For This Long Ride, And All The Stops Along The Way!
And I hope I provided you with some Memories, Introductions and Joy- ALL Part Of The Circle!
