Alright, here's why I played Melanie's Tell Me Why.
While looking through songs to play next I saw another Tell Me Why!
And I started thinking of other tunes named Tell Me Why- all completely different songs!
So I said why not play some, beginning with an old scratchy 45 by a Group from The Bronx?
And I filled the 2nd Half with them, though I cheated just a teeny bit!
Radio Free Form Shows are always a bit risky.
Although I record the Show, I do so as if Live, once committed to something there is no going back, no changing my mind, no do overs!
Plus they are iffy, they really do reflect my mood at the time of recording.
If I do this Chapter the next day, it undoubtedly goes in another direction.
That's the Beauty and Bane of Free Form Radio, what you do can be successful or come crashing down, there's no Net!
Give a listen, you might like it or at least find it interesting, lol!

After a Series, it's always nice to have a Good Old Fashioned Free Form Radio Show.
And I will finally play an Opening Set I have wanted to play for years.
Because it is Free Form, every time I sat down to start a show the thought would elude me, but it's a great Set if I say so myself, with the same thread holding the songs together!
Moving on, a forgotten tune done by Carole King, and off we go.
And I'll end this Opening Half with a question about why I played the last song?
I'll answer that in Part Two.
Do join me for a listen to this start of Free Form Show #9!

This will close the British Invasion out...for now.
It was too much fun and the Music was too damn good to just end it.
So I will return to it periodically.
But for this Chapter, I'll start with a song that was # 8 on the Billboard charts in 1965.
And I don't seem to have ever heard it!
How'd that happen, lol?
From there, some assorted and terrific songs that were part of that flurry that came over here and won the ears of many.
It seems to me that there would not have been a British Invasion without that one vital element-The Beatles.
So to end, a song not BY the Fab Four, but sort of ABOUT them!
Enjoy, I had fun with this.
