SUMMARY: For the those Americans who are interested in our Founding Fathers Originalist thinking on the Constitution than the Left-Wing transformist Living Constitution thinking, I reprise the FIRST Amendment:… (Establishment Clause portion) “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”… The Originalist interpretation was correctly followed until the mid-20th century. Namely, Congress cannot establish a State religion. AND specifically the Founders’ thinking was Congress cannot Establish a State Christian Church.
