I'm not Republican or Democrat, I voted independent, but I think politics are disgusting and horrible, but kinda like a bath. Ya gotta have one once in a while to keep the bugs off lol . I'm big on 2A and freedom of speech, but I don't feel the need to wave it around like a porn star and his willy. There's a time and a place and I'm not compensating for anything lol. I have a 13 acre wannabe farm out here in the sticks, with a focus on self sufficiency, and I sell off extra piglets, baby goats from time to time to pay the feed bill. We have eggs for sale when the chickens aren"t freeloading slackers, and once a year or so, we will have grass fed beef and/or grassfed pork.We aren't completely organic, but we aim for it, and we don't need some government certification to say so, we just do our thing and leave them out of it. I have a Fakebook farm page that so far hasn't been taken down, a Youtube channel with this logo and this name Beggs n Achin', and a main farm blog/website at beggsnachin.webstarts.com - the main webpage links to all of them. There are videos, pics, and how/why we do what we do on all of them. I'm a mix of old and new, and still consider myself learning, influenced by Joel Salatin of Polyface Farms, and all these oldtimers' wisdom around here. I support local business first and Walmart last. Hubs tips well because we were there, once. I started out learning edible and medicinal plants, homesteading skills like processing wool, making soap... and alternative building methods, and moved on to self sufficiency and then wannabe farming. Hubs is a union carpenter and he does the heavy lifting around here, makes the actual money happen, and takes me out for steak once in a while. We fight over who gets to play with the tractor on Saturdays. Our Pitt goes everywhere in our truck and is spoiled rotten.
